Magenta Sheridan, CEO / General Manager
Magenta (she/her) is an arts manager, producer, and editor, who was previously the Creative Producer at Express Media.
Magenta currently sits on the board of Going Down Swinging, where she was previously the Managing Editor. She has worked in administration and operations at Next Wave and The University of Melbourne, and has tutored for Express Media, facilitating creative writing workshops for young people across Melbourne, including for the Hachette Australia Young Writers Prize and State Library Victoria Story Camp. Magenta sat on the Voiceworks Editorial Committee in 2018 and 2019 and won the Melbourne Writers Festival Creative Writing Prize in 2017. Magenta is passionate about centring and advocating for emerging and experimental writers, editors and artists.

Mia Nie, Creative Producer
Mia is a Chinese-Australian comic artist, essayist, illustrator, zine-maker and award-nominated ex-poet living on unceded Wurundjeri country. In 2020, she was a recipient of the Wheeler Centre’s The Next Chapter award, and her comics have been nominated for the National Cartoonist Society’s Reuben Awards. She is currently creative producer at Express Media, and is working on her self-published serial webcomic, SAMSARA DREAMIN’.

August Moulang, Administration & Communications Coordinator
August (they/them) is a writer, editor and arts worker based on unceded Wurundjeri Country in Naarm/Melbourne. They write poetry and have a background in print and digital magazine publishing, social media management, and administration across arts & media organisations, literary journals, not-for-profits & social enterprises, education, and B2B advertising.

Selina Moir-Wilson, Voiceworks Editor
Selina is a writer, editor and comics artist. Their work has appeared or is forthcoming in Voiceworks, The Big Issue, Going Down Swinging and others. They are a 2023 SEVENTH Gallery emerging writer in residence and were a 2022 Toolkits: Graphic Narratives participant.

Brigitte Barta, Board Member
Brigitte started out in book publishing before moving into digital content strategy. She now works as a consultant and has expertise that extends into service design, project delivery, product management and e-commerce. She has a Graduate Diploma in Editing & Publishing and a BA in Media Studies, both from RMIT.

Chris Dodds, Board Member
Chris has a background in digital strategy, UX theory and practice, graphic design, project planning, AI implementation, marketing and brand communications. He consults with industry and government clients to deliver digital transformation and communications strategies, digital products and behaviour change campaigns. Chris completed a Masters by Research at RMIT University and is a member of the university's Digital Media Program Advisory Committee. He continues researching AI and near-horizon technologies and their impact on workplaces, businesses and government services.

Tracy O’Shaughnessy, Board Member
Associate Professor Tracy O’Shaughnessy has been involved in the book publishing industry for over 25 years. In the last nine years, she has been Publisher of the Bowen Street Press, RMIT's student-led press, and Program Manager and architect of RMIT's Master of Writing and Publishing. During her publishing career, Tracy has held senior publishing roles in a range of different publishing houses, from highly commercial to academic. She has worked as a general trade publisher at Allen & Unwin, and her other notable appointments include, publisher of Melbourne University Publishing’s prestigious Miegunyah Press and she was a founding member and commissioning editor at Hardie Grant Books.
