NYWM: Day Fourteen

Did you keep up with the madness of the 24 Hour Book in Brisbane over the weekend? It was an ambitious attempt to write, edit and publish a book in, you guessed it, 24 hours. Willow Pattern, the resulting novel, is now available for purchase in digital and print versions. How’s that for a collaborative writing effort? You can read an editor’s perspective on how it all unfolded here.

For those in NSW you can head to Woollahra Council Chambers tonight at 6pm (for a 6.30pm start) to hear Drusilla Modjeska in conversation with Geordie Williamson, discussing her novel The Mountain. For more details and bookings email library@woollahra.nsw.gov.au.

Tasmanians, don’t forget Flash Fiction is on tonight!

For poets and writers in Victoria, tonight is the launch of the Australian Poetry Journal at The Wheeler Centre. Check the Australian Poetry website for details.

Submissions to Ampersand Magazine are due today for entries of non fiction, fiction, poetry and art.

Today the NYWM Travelling Story is in Queensland. Our daily writer is Bethany Sonter, 14, from Jimboomba.
