NYWM: Day Eighteen

If you’re based in Victoria it is well worth popping in to The Wheeler Centre tonight for Debut Mondays, where emerging writers and established writers alike take to the stage to read a piece of their work. Tucked into the beautiful basement cafe, The Moat, these nights are a cosy winter treat.

Another Victorian night out… if you’re free Thursday you can always head to the Etchings Trivia Night for more literary goodness.

In other news from The Wheeler Centre, Melbourne writers have been offered an amazing opportunity to have a dedicated work space for two months inside the beautiful offices at The Wheeler Centre. That’s right, you could come work in the same space as us! Applications close today, so make sure you don’t miss out. Go to the website for details on how to apply.

For writers in South Australia with a passion for visual art, The Writing Project is a chance to collaborate with writers, designers and/or curators in an innovative new project. Applications close June 30, check the website for more details.

New South Wales, don’t forget that tomorrow is the final day for entries to the 7th Annual Sydney Youth Writing Competition for Primary School Students.

Today the NYWM Travelling Story is in Queensland. Our daily writer is Philip James Petersen, 17, from Townsville.
