NYWM: Day 6

numeral 6

Over on the National Young Writers’ Group Facebook page we’re sharing a bit about ourselves and our NYWM goals. Head on over and share your plan for this month. There are already heaps of different goals being discussed, but a running trend seems to be submitting work to various places. Pitching your work well is just as important as the work itself, so read up and improve your chances of getting published.

Here is a super-brief general guide on submitting your work by the Queensland Writers’ Centre. This piece is for all of those wanting to submit their work to literary journals and magazines; The Review Review‘s Five Step Guide to Healthy Submitting. Also from The Review Review, this lengthy (but excellent) piece What Editors Want. There is also an excellent roundup on Arts Hub of the Emerging Writers’ Festival session What Do Editors Want.
