What is your NYWM goal? 

I am hoping to write four pieces this month to submit to four different submissions/competitions at the moment. My goal is to have at least one of them published.

What kind of writing do you do?

I write a lot of short stories that I try to start out light and funny but always end up dark and sad! I also like to write creative non-fiction, especially travel writing and anything to do with food.

What inspires or motivates you to write and reach your goals?

Spite….

Weeeell, not really. I want people to hear what I have to say. I want people to agree. I want people to feel something when they read my words. And I just want to write and have a good time doing it.

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading Cormac McCarthy’s All The Pretty Horses and the EWF Monash Prize Shortlist.
