NYWM: Day Twenty-Three

Melbourne comic makers and fans, tomorrow is a fantastic opportunity to head to the Carnegie Library and Community Centre for a one-day Comics Market. You can meet local comic artists and buy a variety of comics from 10am as part of the Glen Eira Storytelling Festival.

If fairytales are more your style, Monash University Caulfield’s Fairy Tale Reading Group will be hosting an afternoon of fairytale magic today from 2-6pm. Long before the brothers Grimm and Walk Disney, a circle of 17th century French authors gathered in Paris salons to read, perform and discuss fairytales. Today is your chance to go along and learn about the authors who shaped fairytale history with readings, performances and discussions of all things fairytale. For all enquiries contact arts-fairytale@monash.edu

Today the NYWM Travelling Story is in Western Australia. Our daily writer is Toneya Scafidi, 19, from Kalgoorlie.
