The Signal Express was an online arts and culture magazine produced entirely by high school students, in a partnership between Signal Arts Studio and Express Media from 2011 – 2015.
The Under Age was a fortnightly online newspaper written entirely by Victorian high school journalists, created by Express Media in partnership with The Age. The Under Age program ran from 2011 – 2015.
National Young Writers’ Month took place in the month of June from 2011 – 2015. National Young Writers’ Month asked young writers to set themselves a goal for the month of June, achieve that goal by June 30.
In 2013 Express Media launched Hologram, a new imprint of Express Media made possible through the Australia Council for the Arts’ Early Career Residencies program for former Voiceworks’ Editor (2010 – 2012), Johannes Jakob.
In 2013 to 2014, Express Media worked with a team of young writers from non-English speaking backgrounds on Global Express. The project culminated in the launch of Dialect, a multi-lingual publication featuring the writers who had participated.
The Young Writers Innovation Prize was established in 2013 as a new program of support for young writers, funded by the Copyright Agency Cultural Fund and administered by Express Media.

In 2012 and 2013 Express Media partnered with Australian Poetry to produce the New Voices Series; four individual collections of poetry by emerging writers.
In 2012, Express Media and Regional Arts Victoria, with the support of the Youth Affairs Council of Victoria and Parks Victoria, launched the 2012 Parks Story Poster publication; a combination of a story and a map that aimed to tell stories uniquely.
6x6x6 was a live event comprising a panel discussion and sequence of ‘TED’ style talks presented by six experts under 25 in the fields of science, education, media, politics and social entrepreneurship.
From 2009 – 2011, Express Media presented Write In Your Face; a program supporting young writers using language innovatively across a number of forms, genres and mediums.
