An annual general meeting (AGM) is a meeting held once a year, which all members of an organisation are invited to attend. The purpose of an AGM is to give members a report on the organisation’s activities and finances for the previous year, to allow time for members to ask questions, and to elect members of the Board for the coming year. As an Express Media member, it is our pleasure to invite you to join us for the 2018 Annual General Meeting.

The items of business for members’ consideration are as follows:

1. Call to order

2. Apologies and proxies

3. Confirmation of minutes of the 2017 Annual General Meeting

4. Consideration of the 2017 Annual Report and 2017 Audited Financial Report

5. Election of members of Board

6. Receipt of Annual Statement by Public Officer

7. Meeting close

NOMINATIONS FOR BOARD POSITIONS

Any member may nominate for a position on the Board. Members may either nominate themselves, or be nominated by another member, with their consent.

Members wishing to make a nomination should do so prior to the meeting by contacting Lucy Hamilton via generalmanager@expressmedia.org.au by 5pm on Monday May 20.

REGISTERING YOUR ATTENDANCE

A member may vote on the items of business to be considered at the meeting either in person or by appointing another member as their proxy for the meeting.
