From May to August each year, we present the John Marsden Prize for Young Australian Writers, open to all Australians under 25 years old, and judged by our patron, author John Marsden.

From June to September each were, we present the Write Across Victoria awards in partnership with the Melbourne Writers’ Festival, recognising outstanding creative writing from students in years 7 to 9 by offering over $3,000 in cash and prizes to six young writers across the three year levels.

In April 2011, we announced the recipients of the Write In Your Face grants program, offering support of up to $5000 to people who are aged 30 years or younger (or work with people 30 years or younger).
